This is a redesigned book design for F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic American novel “The Great Gatsby”. The book is perfect bound and entirely composed by hand. It features imagery created with handmade drawings, as well as paper assets cut from vintage magazines. Stylistically, my goal for this project was to deviate from traditional art nouveau renditions of his novel. Instead, reimagine this project with “dada” collage forms. “Dada” was a prominent art movement occurring during the 1920s, which coincides with the events of the book.
